South Woodford get rocking!
An audience of over 250 danced to the music of Jewish rock and roll on Sunday evening, 29th March as American band Shlock Rock came to the UK as part of their wider Purim tour.
The hugely successful event was one of the largest in the community for many years and attracted residents of Woodford, Chigwell and Clayhall as well as a large contingent from North West London. Rabbi Fleischer of Wanstead and Woodford United Synagogue entertained the large crowd by duetting with the band's lead singer, Lenny Solomon. Tribe made sure no one went hungry by providing vouchers to buy hotdog and chips at the 'Shlock Rock Cafe'
