Chief Rabbi inspires at Friday night event for students
The Chief Rabbi, Sir Jonathan Sacks, addressed over 250 members of the Jewish student community at a special Friday night dinner at Finchley United Synagogue last weekend. The dinner was a joint event organised by Tribe Campus and University Jewish Chaplaincy with input from the Union of Jewish Students.
Following the launch of last year's hugely successful national Friday night dinner that was held at St John's Wood United Synagogue, the demand for places at this year's event nearly tripled. Students were given an inspirational address by the Chief Rabbi on the importance of student activism. The Chief Rabbi appealed to the students in attendance to not only take an active role on campus but also to offer support and services to those not involved in campus community life.
